My Story
My siblings tell me I acted out commercials in the mirror when we were young. The led me into business but my imagination kept coming up with stories that broke my heart. That passion for storytelling has evolved into a penchant for bringing copy to life for commercial brands. Mine is the friendly, motherly voice that you can turn to for advice and help; one that can both touch and educate. It’s a voice that comforts and inspires. I speak both Arabic (Levantine dialect) and English fluently.
My career has led me many places that all have one thing in common – a great story. Currently, I co-own Seven Sister Scones and Kitchen with my sister. We’ve built that small business from scratch, gaining a ton of experience in building a brand, connecting with customers, ecommerce, and sales. From day one, we took an unconventional approach to the bakery’s business. Instead of limiting ourselves to a single location, we added nationwide shipping to reach a wide audience with our delicious, sweet and savory products. Shipping our scones around the country grew from being a small part of our success to becoming a stand-alone brand, lucky enough to be featured by the likes of the Today Show, Good Housekeeping, Forbes and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Prior to embarking on my scone adventure, I breathed fun into a lot of technical products, including data acquisition equipment, health & safety consulting services, and financial services. Just ask me what Torquetoberfest is!
In my spare time (what little there is between a voiceover career, overseeing a business, and raising kids!), I am passionate about community, good food, women’s issues and children. I’ve helped several non-profits expand programs and fundraising. My goal is simple – to tell untamed, sharp, discerning stories that highlight our humanity and change the way we think about the world and, hopefully, make the world a better place.
